Growth and Employment in States (GEMS) was an employment project supported by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment (FMTI) and funded by the World Bank and the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID). The project was aimed at job creation and increased non-oil growth in specific high potential value chain sectors.

It targeted at least six economic sectors which had been identified for intervention to improve the value chain, create wealth and reduce poverty.

Feed the Future Nigeria Livelihoods Project (FtFNLP) is funded by the USAID and is being implemented by the Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The programme targeted poor, rural households in Kebbi State, and offered a comprehensive package of agricultural information business skills, financial services, and direct cash transfers to vulnerable households.The survey was a multi-component baseline survey which comprised of several components – Targeted Committee Meetings, Household Enumeration/PPI and Baseline Survey.
The survey established the baseline readings against which the performance of the intervention was measured during the midline and endline phases.

The objective of the APPEALS Project is to enhance agricultural productivity of small and medium scale farmers and improve value addition along priority value chains in the Participating States.

The project anticipates that 35% of beneficiaries will be women. The intervention states are Lagos, Enugu, Cross River, Kogi, Kaduna and Kano

In partnership with UK Department for International Development (DFID), Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) is a flagship Family Planning (FP) programme to deliver 20% of the UK’s FP global commitments. With a value of over £200 million over three years, the programme’s service delivery budget was set to deliver an additional 2.8m – 4.1m FP users by end 2020.

In working across Africa and Asia to provide a comprehensive package of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), the programme has a primary focus on increasing the number of additional FP users alongside reducing maternal mortality and improving access to safe abortion.

The Alive & Thrive Project (A&T) contributes to better nutrition during the first 1,000 days by promoting improved infant and young child feeding (IYCF) which is necessary for children to grow and develop to their full potential.

The intervention is being implemented in two broad tranches: all Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Lagos and Kaduna states (n = 36) receive the mass communication messages while two randomly selected LGAs received the full interventions.
